This time of
relaxation and beauty will offer the opportunity for an intensity of
observation and interest for this noble part of the human being which is
the mind, moments when there is a release from the sense of the ME and when
there is a touch of a quality of wholeness.

August - Chalet Alpenblick near Gstaad. This program gives parents and
children opportunity to explore together some aspect of this very special
relationship which we call “education”.

Mountain Retreat for young people
from 17th to 24th August 2008
At Bourg-St-Pierre -
Valais (near Grand Saint -Bernard Pass).a
special program for people around the age of 20 to 35. Various activities
will be offered including videos of Krishnamurti, discussions and hikes.

This year, the gathering will
be housed again in Murren, in Sport Chalet. We felt last year, that in it is
a good place where beauty and silence can be explored.
The village Mürren is reachable
only by Cable car from Lauterbrunnen, altitude 1650 m. Splendid view on the
Eiger and Mönch, with no
traffic, little shops, hotels, and picturesque houses. Sport Chalet is
located in a quiet area.
We can make use of a large room
for our general meetings, small rooms for discussion groups. It is a simple
hotel, but kept with care. Facilities are on the floors – Vegetarian food :
breakfast and supper will be provided by Sport hotel. We can also make use
of the swimming pool of Mürren.

A Week of Inquiry and
Dialogue Inspired by the Work of Krishnamurti

with others sharing similar concerns while living together

enjoy walking in
the beautiful Alpine mountains and experience the effect of the presence of
nature on our questions
Then
you might want to join this week where we will explore the challenges
particularly faced by young adults.
It is
our intention to create a space to get together away from the demands
and stress of every day life. This week will take place in unspoiled nature,
as we think that it is a conducive setting for our inquiries. It will
revolve around the teachings of Krishnamurti(see
www.kinfonet.org), as in our view
these deal with understanding the underlying causes of the challenges faced
by societies and individuals in the world today.
What to expect?
The
atmosphere of the get-together will be informal. We attempt to offer a
balanced program around Krishnamurti videos and texts, and group
dialogues, interspersed with walks, outdoor activities and time for
enjoyment. In this, the challenge is to find the right balance as a group,
between structured program and openness to the questions brought by the
participants. Everything we will do in this week could become a learning
situation: the time spent on inquiry, mountain walks, cooking and living
together.
You will
be accommodated in a Swiss style village house or in a chalet
(double rooms) nearby surrounded by the unspoilt beauty of the Alps. All
meals (vegetarian) are included and will be prepared and enjoyed
together.
As
we are expecting an international group, the main language spoken will be
English.
Price
Sw.Fr. 400.-- (250 euro) This includes all activities, accommodation,
breakfast and dinner.
